Things will be looking a bit different around here soon. Hopefully very soon.
That grumpy old Admin dude has been working furiously on a much needed complete theme overhaul for the Tripawds News blog where these forums reside. During this transition, certain pages or functions may appear to be broken or missing. Rest assured that we will do our best to make this transition quick and painless.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
That's funny Bob!

Can't wait to see the new 'look'! I'm sure it will be awesome!!!
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
OK, here goes... Don't Panic.

Now, that wasn't so painful, was it? We'll surely be testing everything and ironing out any wrinkles for a while, so feel free to report any issues in this topic. Or, take a look around and tell us how pawesome the new site is here.

Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Always the sour grapes in the system, but WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE BACKGROUND/HEADERS!! Cherry's appears out of focus, and her flying ears are croped off the top – the top of Jerry's ears have been croped off – the top of Tazzie's head has been croped off – Peyton's remaining fore leg has been partially croped. Well you get the picture. I'll start picking up the marbles.
PS: I just noticed that you took away Caira Sue's ball - well almost all of the ball.

Perhaps you should make some wine then? Or shall we say whine?
Considering this makeover came very close to including no image headers, let alone rotating ones – thank you very much – we'll be pretty happy if this is our only complaint.
But to answer your question: It is an ongoing struggle of features vs. performance. Did you happen to notice how much faster things are around here now? Reducing the file size of all the header images was just one of many difficult tactics implemented to decrease page load times. Please feel free to send us a more in-focus shot of dear Cherry and we will be happy to include it in the rotation, doing our best to optimize both it's file size and image quality.
Thank you for the feedback.
