Made a reply, hit submit, reply didn't show up but this popped up. There was also a new little "lite" icon that showed up in the `banner` area???

"Lite Pages" is yet another way the Almighty Google is thinking for Android users, and trying to help, by "optimizing" content for them.
According to Google: Lite Pages are supposedly designed to make pages load faster in Chrome if the network conditions are unreliable or if the connection speed is very slow.
Your connection to this site is secure. Whatever optimization the G was doing on your behalf there stripped out certain "stuff" to make it so...Or, you may be using an outdated version of Chrome since Data Saver feature originally only worked via http.
And FYI: That is not the "Banner Area" it is the Browser Address Bar.
