So glad you posted this issue. I was beginning to think it was just a tavlet issue.

Yes, some of the links jave a comment lock, but others, like this one and others do not.

No worries! Our ADMIN GUY can work magic on computer stuff!! 🙂

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

megstamom- you did! Hmm, wonder if it's a java script thing. My daughter couldn't see the option on her phone. My blog has been up for weeks and there have been no comments 🙁

Ah, okay! You've got comments boxes on some pages, but not on others. I checked the page Sally showed on my computer and I don't have a comments box either. It must be to do with the way you've created the site by adding new pages, I think, rather than just adding new posts on the home page. If you add a new page, you need to enable comments for it in the dashboard. If you just add posts on the home page, then the comments box comes up beneath them automatically.

Sally, if you click on 'Home', you will see Linda's and my comments.

Comments are working on your blog. You had apparently, however, checked the option in your settings to only allow comments from registered and logged in users. This explains why you were receiving some comments, while others could not see the Reply button.

We have changed the setting back to it's default for you. If you would like to change it back to only allowing logged-in users to comment (to eliminate spam for instance), visit your Dashboard -> Settings -> Discussion.

Hope this helps!

PS: As for that tavlet issue, we'll have to see if changing the setting made a difference.

You have no blog. You appear to be publishing a new Page every time you update your site, instead of using your blog to publish Posts. And, you have your Home page set to a static page, instead of your Blog. This is all fine and dandy, however:

Nobody will be notified of your updates when you publish a Page. Every time you publish a Post, members will be notified in Recent Posts widgets throughout the Tripawds community
All new blog Posts are automatically shared on the Tripawds Facebook Page . Pages are not.
Look at your navigation menu. All new pages on your site will become a menu item, which will soon grow out of control. You can change this setting from the Menu tab, if for some reason you prefer to keep adding pages instead of posts.

I'm glad you posted this. I remember reading your blog and typing a very long comment (at like 2 am) and then not being able to save it or to even find your blog again. Thought I was going crazy, or just super sleep deprived.

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

Nope, still not working for tavlets.

But maybe Fionn's mom (or her techie daughter) haven't been able to make suggested changes yet. Although, obviously I'm registered and logged in.

BTW...That picture of Fionn at the barn happily rolling around on his back is so joyous!! Love his tye dye roo!

Well, I'm blaming my daughter for this whole thing because she isn't here to defend herself! She is a journalism major and uses wordpress daily on her college paper so I recruited her to help. I wanted to set up my blog with clickable pages rather than having to scroll backwards through posts to get to the beginning of someone's story. I was reading lots of blogs prior to Fionn's surgery and some have many posts and it was cumbersome to get to the beginning and then read backwards if that makes sense? Since I designed it to be a day by day accounting I wanted it easy to follow. I'll have her take a look this weekend and I'll see if I want to change it.

I wasn't really trying to fish for comments I swear! Really! Now I feel like a toddler begging for attention, lol. way-confused I posted a link to the blog on a forum post and someone mentioned they didn't see a way to leave a comment. Then, when my daughter said she couldn't either I figured I had done something wrong in the settings. I will at least check all my pages and make sure comments are enabled on all of them. Thanks for your help guys!
