Fighting spammers is an ongoing battle for any online community. Please know that we do our best to protect members from seeing spam posts in the Tripawds blogs and forums. Recently, however, we have discovered spam being sent via our Private Messaging system. We delete these threads from the database and remove the users as quickly as possible. Doing so may result in an invalid message count on the Inbox button for those who were sent the spam.
If you receive an email notification, or notice an unread message count for private messages that do not exist, follow the simple steps below to clear the number:
- Open the PM system by clicking the Inbox button.
- Click "Mark Inbox Read"
