Is there a way for moderators to move multiple posts to the same new topic? When I did an edit - move it asks for a new topic name.

Multiple posts cannot be moved. Only one post can be moved at a time. When you move a post it creates a new topic, starting with that post you are moving. When using the Move function, you will be asked for which Forum in which to start that new topic.
A future version of Simple:Press may provide the ability to move multiple posts or insert moved posts into existing existing topics, but that is still under development.
