Hi again Admin,
I am hoping I can get through this post with minimal errors because that is the problem I have been dealing with...... Beside the usual problems I have been having with losing posts, not being able to log in at times, getting the "access denied", with all these problems I just keep trying again, but this problem I have been having since the new server upgrade is baffling and very frustrating.... I cannot go back into any post I am trying to type out and correct any mistakes; I have to erase everything I typed to get to the error, so consequently, I have not posted on Tripawds too much lately. Sometimes it takes me an hour just to type a 2 paragraph post.Â
My question is, is there something new I should be doing, or is this just my iPad being a piece of garbage again? I have tried posting and trying to correct through both Safari and Google Chrome, and neither will let me make corrections.Â
Once again, any help you can give me will be much appreciated, and thanks for everything.... 🙂

The challenge: Cannot correct typos
Solution: Yeah, you guessed it. Why would one bother?
"One" of "us" takes an hour to type a paragraph WITH typos! It's a dying art vorm and its up to people like us ro continue the heritage of typos!

Sally, I got a huge chuckle out of your post, so I gave it 5 stars! If only I vould have your "why would one bother" mindset!! Oh, look, I made a boo-boo in my last sentence and can't correct it, lol !!! The only problem is, my OCD kicks in and I am toast...... It is driving me crazy right now that I can correct that one wrong letter in "vould" so I am just gonna kick back and laugh a little bit more! Oops, "can't" correct, not "can" ........ Oh my, I better stop now before I make anymore mistakes, I've already backed up about 4-5 times!Â

To clarify, you cannot edit the text within a post you are currently drafitng? Or you cannot edit a post of yours that has alreadybeen published? A member of the Forums "Members" group has never been able to edit a post once there has been replies to the post.Â

This sounds like you are experiencing trouble within the post editor on your iPad. One solution may to try changing your default editor to Plain Text from your Forums Profile -> Options -> Edit Posting Options

No. There are no new settings on the site that should be causing the issues you describe. Have you cleared your Browser cache? On an iPad, visit Settings -> Safari -> Clear Recent History.

Yes to I cannot edit the text within a post I am currently drafting..... I did switch back to plain text and that seems to have corrected the problem so I will stay on plain text until I need to post pictures. I also do know that we cannot edit a post once there is additional posts.
As far as clearing my Browser cashe, I do try to keep up with that regularly, so no problem there. I will stay in plain text for posting and that will keep me sane, whatever that is 🙂

Glad that helped! The Rich Text editor is apparently still temperamental on some tablets (and all tavlets).
Just curious, what version iPad do you have?
Also, closing apps you are not using may help. Too many open apps can consume RAM. Double tap the Home button to view all open apps and "swipe up" any you are not currently using.

The rich text editor actually was working quite well up until this last server upgrade, so I will just continue with plain text for awhile....
As far as my iPad, I do have an iPad Air that was purchased early March of 2014..... I somehow completely shattered the screen of my last one, freaky story about that involving Tripawds website.......
And yes to closing apps I am not using.... I try to do that once everyday.
All in all, I guess the consensus is to just use plain text on my iPad, and I still believe iPads are sometimes crappy the way they work, but just my opinion. The desktop is so much better all the way around, just not as convenient.
