I usually see Jake's Journey blog listed in the Active Blogs list... but today I didn't see it anywhere on the list. We ususally post something almost every single day. I was just wondering if something was wrong...
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
I've been meaning to ask about this as well. For some reason
Romeo's blog is never on this list. Wondering if I did something wrong when I set the blog up. Is it because I said "no" to the zingbacks etc (wasn't sure exactly what these were but they didn't seem good, spam?). I know we haven't posted in a week or so, but some on the list seem much older.
It takes a major effort for me to even find my own blog!
Ok--thanks for putting up and educating the technically
inept! :)Eve
Interesting. Thank you both for bringing this to our attention. We've dispatched a team of trained monkeys to investigate the matter. Or rather, I wish. Stay tuned. And thatnk you for your patience.
Pingbacks can't hurt, that's just acknowledgement of sites linking back to yours. If they're spammy turn them off. But I'd be really interested to see if the setting makes a difference with your blog being listed in the Tripawds Blogs directory. I'm sure the developers would be too.

Playing around in my sandbox, I discovered that selecting " in the Settings -> Privacy tab omits the blog from being listed in the Directory. If you have selected this Blog Visibility option, please select the other — "I would like my blog to be visible to everyone..." — and your blog should be re-listed automatically.
It makes sense that this setting might be the culprit as the site would no longer get crawled by the blogs directory feed. Having search bots crawl your site is not harmful and should not affect Spam levels in any way.
Please let us know if this helps.
