Hi Jan,
It looks like you (or whoever drafted the post) had turned off comments for that post. We turned them back on, and confirmed your default Discussion settings are allowing comments. Only first comments by readers will require approval. We also checked a few of the previous posts to ensure comments were being allowed.
You can modify your global comments settings from the Settings -> Discussion tab in your dashboard, and override these settings on individual posts or pages from the Discussion section of the post/page editor.

That was me, although I have no idea how I did that! Not used to the new wordpress, I guess. Thank you for fixing it so quickly, Jim.
I don't know what I would have done without Tripawds. I'm so thankful I found you so soon after Tate's diagnosis and you were there for me every step of the way. I continue to be amazed at your dedication!

You likely unchecked the "Allow comments" box by mistake.
