Disclaimer: I'm am not good at technology AT ALL so many apologies if this is a dumb question or one with an obvious answer.
I've noticed that when I upload photos to our blog, that they frequently only appear as about half the photo (i.e. the bottom is greyed out) ... I tried compressing the photos to make the files smaller but that doesn't seem to help. Sometimes if I delete it and re-upload it that works ... sometimes it doesn't.
Any advice or tips? (or maybe I'm the only one that sees the half photos because it's a computer problem?)
1. There are no dumb questions.
2. What do you mean by "greyed out"?
3. Are you referring to viewing the images in your Media Library? Or, on your public blog posts.pages?
Sorry for so many questions, but we cannot identify any issues with the photos you have uploaded to your Media Library on Grover's blog.
We see the entirety of all photos, both in your Media Library, and on the public site. If you have deleted the troublesome images, please leave one in there if it happens again so we can investigate further.
On some slower network connections large images my only partially upload. While this would usually result in an upload error, or no image displaying at all, it may explain why some images do not fully render,
FYI: You can modify the Smush Pro settings in your dashboard to automatically resize any images you upload to conserve storage space.
