Since our update my avatar is gone. I followed the instructions but it won't show up. I even deleted all cookies/cache so am I doing something wrong?

No, we're still working to resolve the Avatars issue. See this recent reply to the Avatars topic.
We'll be switching up the way Avatars display as we troubleshoot this, so the instructions are subject to change at any time..
