Oakland Magazine and Bay Woof are holding their annual Beast of the Bay Awards, which primarily showcases local (to SF Bay Area) dog related businesses. Tripawds has made it to the 2nd round of voting in the category of Best Dog Blog and we need your vote for the win!! You can vote once on each of your devices! 
And if you are from out of the area and are not familiar with the other businesses I can suggest a couple that deserve your vote: Paw Patch Pastries is nominated in the categories of Best Dog Bakery and Best Doggie Birthday Presents--San Francisco. PPP is run by our dear friend Carla who is a long-time supporter of Tripawds and an all around amazing person. We call her treats "Carla Crack" around here because we have never seen a dog that does not go insane for them 
. Sheep Dung Estates is nominated under the category of Best Dog-Friendly Lodging. Me and the Oaktown Pack have been going there for years and it is the Best.Place.Ever!! Dog friendly cottages and each one has at least an acre totally fenced for off leash shenanigans. If you live anywhere nearby we can't recommend ot enough!

Woot! How wonderful we are in the running! How did that happen? We had no idea! Thank you for sharing the news, we'll be sure to announce it all over the place.
And boy you're right, Paw Patch makes the BEST treats! We send them out when people order from the Tripawds Etsy Shop. And the cakes Carla makes...oh they are heavenly!
As for Sheep Dung Estates...oy vey that is the place to pawty!

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
