Tripawds Nation, get your engines ready! This weekend the Indy 500 will be ground zero for pet cancer awareness when the sleek #7 race car piloted by Jay Howard blazes around the track with the One Cancer One Cure message!
You may recall earlier this year when we had the honor of seeing the One Cure NASCAR car in person (see:
Join the #OneCancerOneCure Team for Pets and People). What a thrill not just to experience the race, but to see pet cancer awareness reaching millions of people, all at once!
Well, this weekend the One Cure message will reach even more folks, but this time it's on an Indy car! According to a Colorado State University press release,

When 33 cars line up Sunday, May 27, for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500, each of them will be displaying the names and logos of various sponsors.
Sponsor ads are as much a part of racing as high-octane fuel and pit crews – and just as important. But for Jay Howard, having the Colorado State University One Cure mark prominently displayed on his sleek, green and black No. 7 car is much more than a simple sponsorship.
“One Cure is literally my ideal Indy 500 sponsor – I couldn’t think of a better partner,” said Howard, who will be making his third start in the so-called Greatest Spectacle in Racing. “It means the world to me to be racing for One Cure. To be racing for something that is so near and dear to my heart, well, it’s just incredible.” -- READ MORE
This is a huge win for raising awareness about the cancer connections between pets and people! Tell your friends and family about it, get your popcorn ready and tune in for the best Indy 500 race EVER!
