You gave Riker the best possible options you could have. He was loved for the short time that you had him. Bless you for even trying to get him mobile again. You did a brave thing and yes, he is running and playing now like all dogs should. A loss is never easy though. We are here for you and we understand.
Chance is a 10ish Shetland Sheepdog Mix who was rescued from the shelter in January of 2013 and diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in September of 2013. He had a front left amputation and 6 rounds of carboplatin. He had a great 11 months and was diagnosed with lung mets on 8/23/14. He was released to the bridge on 8/28/14.
I am so sorry for your loss of sweet, young Riker......although his life was way too short, you gave him what was most important, as much of a quality and happy life as possible. Your very difficult decision at the end was with his best interest at heart.....Run free and happy, pup Riker, you will stay in our hearts always....
