Rose and family.....To say we are all devastated is an understatement. I have tried to respond to you several times now. Instead, I just look at the screen, shake my head and cry with you and for you. I have wanted ro reach out to you so badly, as we all have, yet knowing we can do nothing.

I know you agonized over this decision. You had to try...you had to. This horrible piece of crap disease puts us in a forced choice position where we HAVE to try. We always go into this knowing we are doing everything possible to give our dogs and cats a chance. Because of what you went through with Abby, the "odds" of "it" happening again.....and it did. I have no words. I am just so heartbroken for you.

To try and find a reason...an explanation...so futile. Yet, our human side wants to keep searching. The only "belief system" that has helped me move past that endless loop question sometimes is "The Soul knows when it's their time." I share this with you in the "for whatever it's worth" column (or just senseless ramblings). I just hope there is some tiny morsel of comfort for you to embrace.

The Soul comes here to learn lessons...to teach lessons...to learn how to give and receive love. The Soul has purpose. When it feels it has taught the lessons it came here to teach...or learned the lessons it came here to learn...it jumps out of it's earth clothes and transitions back to the energy of the Soul. The Soul doesn't care what role it jumls into when it puts on the earth clothes. It fears nothing. The whole earthly experience is just a blink of an eye. Faodhlan's Soul is eternal.

When you can, reflect on the life lessons she has taught you. Reflect on the wisdom she helped you gain. Right now your pain is so deep and hurts so badly, it's all you can do to take your next breath. There will come a moment though, when you will feel the presence of Faodhlan, and perhaps Abby too. In that moment your heart will remember the lesson.

You can know this with certainty...Faodhlan left her earth clothes KNOWING what love felt like!! She now understands deep devotion and the pure joy of being loved like she never could have without you as her humans. She chose you to as her student AND teacher.

Faodhlan has touched us all so deeply. She will never, ever be forgotten here. When you can, please share more of your earth time together. Without question, she is still teaching us all.
