Hello everybody -

I am posting the following links to videos taken of my girl, Mara, the Irish Wolfhound, just 2 days after amputation of her left front leg due to osteosarcoma.  I agonized over this decision, because of her size.  Please watch and consider for your dog.  I am glad about my choice now.

Just amazing...so nice to see. You'll have to do some spring videos now!

Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.

What wonderful videos...truly an inspiration that will guide anyone with a large/giant breed dog who is concerned about amputation for their furbaby.

Cheers

Mara continues to do very very well.  She just had round 4 of chemo last week, and now the snow is melting so we are getting out for more and more walks.

Here is a link to a blog on my website I wrote about her battle with cancer:

Thanks once again for all the well wishes.

The snows finally clearing out here, and we made it through chemo #4.  Still waiting to hear from Penn State (I think I need to e-mail Dr. Mason again).  I will try to get a video soon, too, as the Therapaw company want a videoto help me with a boot for her (this has been a bit of a struggle to find a good boot that will fit her).  We went to the chiropractor on Tuesday and canine massage last Sunday (the day before Mara's 6th birthday!!!).
