Thanks for sharing that link Sally! Anyone who wants to share tips on adding images just needs to type "adding images " and that link will appear.

Sorry about the scare, it's easy to freak out when you've had to have the incision re-done a bit. For now I would try not to worry if it's not inflamed or oozing anything gross. Since it's not bothering her then I would keep an eye on it until your vet clinic opens. Nope, we're not vets, but that's what I would do with my Wyatt so take it for what it's worth.

I've had a son sick with strep the last week so haven't been able to update until, but today we are celebrating! Roxie is officially free from the cone and has all stitches and staples removed. We celebrated with a trip to the pet store to pick out new treats.

The red spot is still there with a small bump and the vet said the muscle didn't heal correctly and there is a blood blister. Worse case scenario, it will burst but then heal again, but to call at the drop of a hat if I have any concerns.  I've never used instagram until now, so let's see if the picture works. She was so happy to get out somewhere other than the vet!

Ohh, Roxie looks DELIGHTED to be out and about, scoping the treat selection. That was one of Izzy's favorite pastimes, going to Petsmart to sniff the isles looking for spilled bits of kibble and investigating EVERY treat box and bag. More than once, I had to stop her from tearing open the boxes of Milk Bones ... and to think, those aren't even the most "smelly" treats out there!

YaY Roxie! Can't wait for more photos as she begins her Tripawd adventures!

p.s. - LOVE the pink collar & leash ... Izzy would whole heartedly approve!

Roxie continues doing great. We have been taking walks to build back her strength and help her lose a few pounds. They are still pretty short, but she is improving and taking a few extra steps each day.  This is her and our other dog Lilly taking a break from playing (after they knocked off all the pillows from the love seat onto Lilly's bed (which actually is Roxie's old one, but she never liked it)). When they get playing, Roxie has actually jumped onto the sofa a few times! It seems the quicker she moves, the better she moves.

Roxie really is doing so well!! 🙂  She's showing seniors how to rock  life on three legs!:-) 🙂   Staples are gone, pain is gone, and Roxie is living life to the fullest!!!  Yeah, that's why we do what we do! 🙂

Pawesome! Just keep in mind: walks do not build strength, only stamina.

Check out Loving Life On Three Legs , or consider taking advantage of the Maggie Moo Fund for Tripawd Rehab! Visit a CCRT or CCRP and the Tripawds Foundation may pay for your consultation where you can get specific exercises and a nutrition plan to help Roxie.
