These are just wonderful, wonderful news SO thrilled and cheering madly here 🥂
I cannot tell you how happy I feel, seeing that totally rough and challenging recovery is virtually over, you both are definitely a massive example of resilience and zooming in the goals as they presented themselves, overcoming all challenges one by one!
The threadmill is also a good option even if it doesn’t allow for full swimming range of movement as the pool exercises do.
You won’t believe what he will show you he can do, soon!
And yes, we need more pictures of our sweet gorgeous brindle beauty 💓
Hugs and cuddles 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Dear Tripawd Family,
I want to thank each and every one of you for the wonderful support you have given Monte and I through out this journey of OSA.
Last Wednesday marked 12 weeks since surgery and Monte had beat the statistics given. However, Monte developed a 105.2 fever, cough that sounded like he had a furball in his throat, and hard time trying to sit or stand. The x-rays taken showed nodules all over and his spleen was enlarged. He stayed the afternoon to receive IV fluids and get his temp back to normal. When I picked him up, temp was norm and he was happy to be going home. We left with prednisone and amoxicillin. Sunday night his breathing was very labored in that I wasn't sure he'd make it through the night. Back to the vets on Monday to see what might be going on. I was told it would be time to think of the quality of life decision for Monte. My heart was broken yet I've been very thankful for minute/ day I've had with MonteI told the staff and Dr that I wanted to take Monte home and could they give him something for pain till Wednesday. Before we left they put a Fetanyl patch on him. By time I got him home, out of the van, he pottied, and back in the house to his favorite spot to lay he went. He rested through the night but at times his breathing was labored and if he tried to get up, he sounded raspy and short of breath. Although there didn't appear to be anything wrong with Monte in that he was eating, going to the bathroom, and gums looked good, he had a hard time getting his back end and legs up. Making that decision is so hard yet I don't want him to suffer more. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and thank you again for all your support
Love,
Elizabeth and Monte
Oh no Elizabeth, I am so sorry 😪😥 . Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, sending you light and love.

Elizabeth, we are deeply sorry, what a terrible shock to have it happen so quickly. Know that you are doing right by your boy, and allowing him to transition peacefully, painlessly and just the way we would all hope to leave this world. It is a tough thing to do, but so needed by our animals that trust us with all their heart.
When it's time for him to get his wings, remember that his life story will always live on here. Monte is and always will be an inspawration to giant breed doggies on three legs, and he will never be forgotten.
We are sending much love and thanks for allowing us to be part of your life.....

Elisabeth, sweet, sweet friend 🌸
I am so, so sorry to hear these news 😔
There was nothing you could have done for Monte that you have not done and you continue to do all in your power to make him happy and I am sure, totally sure, he is happy to be with his Mom, that sweet boy of yours 💕
I love the way he went back home straight to his favourite spot, he is enjoying everything to the full, building happy memories in his beautiful mind.
Don’t be afraid, Elisabeth, when the time comes for your beautiful boy to earn his silver wings, he will just change form, he is not going anywhere, his spirit is with you and will continue to be with you.
Sending you a tight hug and tons of cuddles to Monte, he is most loved by his tripawdian family 😘🐮💫✨🌟

I want to come back (having rotten connection issues right now), but just wanted to send you all the love and strength of your whole Tripawd family. Your selfless love for Monte is beautiful. He knows he can count on your love for him to release him from his earthly body that no longer served him. He is soooo grateful you love him enough to give him that gift ❤
Surrounding you with our strength and with peace and our love
