I just watched the best show on Animal Planet titled The SuperVet. It's about a referral clinic in England that deals with cases many vets don't handle. Yesterday was the season premier (I think). The main case was a lab with a tumor on his leg. The vet was very honest with the owners regarding whether they could save the leg. He felt it was cancer and the best bet was to amputate. It was a really good program, not overly dramatic like some shows. I usually don't even watch Animal Planet for all the stupid stuff they have on there but this was great or at least the first episode was. Take a look.big-grinPenny

Yeah,.I.saw.it.too during a little "mindless surfing"!

I loved.that they showed the.dog living life on three legs to the fullest...and he was four months past amputationand still growing strong!!

The lpve l y bri.dle.Greyhound...I do wish they would have gone on and amputated his leg.thought rathern than all those p i ns, screws, outside meta l "clamps", etc. SUPERVET needs to put.Jim.and.Rene on payroll as Consultants!clap Should we star a write-in campaign?

THANKS FOR THE POST PENNY! It was quite a fasciating show!

LOVE to you. and your pack!

Sally and Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Sally you crack me up!

Penny, if this vet was British, I believe you might be talking about Big Boy's vet?

Saw him on Animal Planet for the first 2 episodes in July this year. He then disappeared. I know there are more episodes per the Suervet web site and the Animal Planet website. I live in Bradenton, FL, and get my TV through Brighthouse. I can find no explanation anywhere about what has happened.

i LOVE this show!!!! that vet is also responsible for this kitty:

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013.
