While Gerry and I were out walking this morning, his nose took us to a street we don't normally walk on and a lady stopped to pet him - to Gerry's delight as always. She asked his name and I told her and then she asked if I had seen the PBS special with Jerry on it 
I spared her the long answer to that and gave her the short version that I sure did, and when my Gerry coincidentally had the same name at the shelter, well, there was just no way I could not take him home.
Jerry, you're so famous!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.

That just brought tears to my eyes - what an incredible story and what an incredible inspiration to all of us here. Jerry - our tripawd hero!! You will always live forever in our hearts!
Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
