Hi everypawdy! Well, today is my 8 month ampuversary! I just came home from the cabin, the water is almost down to normal and it is supposed to be hot for the 4th of July, so dad says next weekend we are going swimming! this last month has been a little rougher, my dad is always poking some pill down my throat, and I started taking pills for my cough a couple of days ago because some nights it keeps me up. But I can tell you all! I still enjoy my treats and eating and love from my mom and dad! We are still fighting the good fight! I sure hope everyone will get lots of treats to help me celebrate!

Abby says: "Hoorah Cooper! I am right behind you - it will be my 8 month ampuversary in a couple of days. My dad says I should get a burger (a Flying Dutchman to be exact - a cheese burger w/ no bun...) from In N Out to celebrate. I bet you can get something special like that too. You just have to give them the Big Eyes. The Big Eyes work and they will give you pretty much whatever you want... I find the Big Eyes coupled with the Head on Daddy's Knee move works every time!"

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Woo Hoo Cooper! So happy to celebrate one more great ampuversary with you. Tell dad Trouble said cream cheese keeps those pills from being medicine and make the 'treats'.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

Rusty is a Labradoodle who was diagnosed with level 3 Fibrosarcoma on January 16th, 2010 and had his left hind leg amputated on January 25th, 2010 five days before his 18 month birthday. Please see Rusty's blog @rusty.tripawds.com. He is putting up one heck of a fight against this terrible disease.
