But much too oftten there are times when, from out of nowhere, some other unrelated health issue arises, knocking the wind out of us and making us wonder how this could have happened under the microscope of all that medical care we've been getting.
My friend Zeus, an osteosarcoma survivor for over a year, is in that very same situation. He's battling another serious health issue tonight, and he needs all of your prayers.
His Mom Heather told us today that his kidneys are in crisis. Doctors haven't pinpointed it, but he is in the critical care unit at his hospital tonight, so that tomorrow testing can begin to find out what's making him so sick.
Please put Zeus in your thoughts this week, and let's all send our love out to him in Virginia.

Heather, you were one of the first (actually, I think the first) person to reply to me when I first joined this community, when I was so scared and worried about Max. Please know that all my thoughts and prayers are with you and Zeus during this tough time. Just remember that Zeus is a strong boy and a trooper. Be strong for him.

Words fail me this morning and I can't tell you how much this all means to me. I feel so badly that I haven't been on tripawds lately - the past couple weeks have been difficult with a groin injury and now this. I think of everyone every day and we include our tripawd family in all our prayers every day.
Rene told me she was posting this and I wanted to say "thank you" for the bottom of our hearts.
He IS a fighter and I hold on to that while also knowing that this is out of my control and in God's hands and with that I do have peace...thankfully. He is in the best care possible and I'll have some results this evening.
Thank you for keeping St. Francis very busy.

Oh no! It's so hard when we think that we finally have this whole cancer thing under control, and then something else pops up. My thoughts are with Zeus today and I hope they find out what's wrong and get him back to feeling great!
