Today is my sweet baby girl's six month ampuversary! She made it!
When we got the diagnosis in late January I immediately started grieving what was to come, but she has shown me those were wasted tears. She still seems to be going strong. She's always happy and wanting to play or get some lovins (especially behind her ears). She's just so amazing and beautiful! She has a go get 'em attitude that keeps her hopping along and never fails to make me smile. Just the sight of her hopping up to me raises my spirits because it reminds me that my day at work really wasn't that bad.
This weekend I'm taking my son to Chicago, just for a quick visit. I've only been once (in high school) and he's never been, so I really wanted to let him see Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier. Besides, Tuesday was his 10th birthday so I think he deserves something special. The downer to this is I'm going to be away from my pups. I worry about them while I'm gone. My husband will be there to take care of them, so I know they'll be safe, but I'm going to miss them. And I'm the one that handles all of Roxy's meds/supplements, so I'll be stressing out about that one too. I wish I could take her with me…
Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! ((Hugs)) to all you tripawds!

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Hoppy 6 month ampuversary Roxy! A milestone indeed!!! Keep up the great work!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
