First of all, let me apologize for being AWOL. I have had a ton of work, and I find it really hard to keep up with all the new goings on around here. I pop in and check things out when I can but I know I'm not very reliable right now. I hope that will change shortly.
Yesterday would have been Dakota's 3rd ampuversary, which means that the last remaining February Furball celebrates his today. That's right! Bud from Wyoming has been hopping along for 3 years now. And because Bud does not have cancer, we don't have to hold our breath for him. Such a relief!
Bud's family live 4 hours from me, so when I made plans to attend a conference in their town last month, his momma Angel asked me to stay with them. I spent 2 nights with his pack (his dad was out of town) and found out that his crazy sister Daisy isn't really crazy or bad. She's just misunderstood. 
And his human kids are really delightful. I mean really. I like kids, but these two are special. They do what they're told!
So again, the happiest of days to my good friend Bud! May your face get grayer, may you have many years left, may the sun always shine warm on your sweet soul.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Thre's so ething soooooo sweet about seeing a senior Golden's aging face. The graying just brings out the gentleness of their soul as it comes peeking out of their wise old eyes. So sweet.Thanks for sharing the pics and BOTH ampuveraries!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
MUCH LOVE to our February Furball pals......we sincerely miss them and celebrate their presence with that of our Bud dog!
Shari has been such a supportive friend to us!
She sent a pm to me while in the hotel room following Dakota and Bud's amp.Yep, that was three years ago and I bet we comment to each other at least once a week.
I hope that everyone in this communtiy will be so blessed!!!

Ohhhh Shari! Please don't apologize, life happens, we understand completely. We miss you but I'm just so glad you shared these very important milestones with the community. Between Dakota's ampuversary and the realization that it's been three years since the February furballs joined forces in the Tripawds nation, you really got us choked up over here. It's hard to believe three years have gone by but wow to think Bud is STILL ROCKIN?!! Yay BUD!!! You are A M A Z I N G
For those new to the Tripawds Nation, I encourage you to read about Bud here. He came to us after a life-threatening bout with MRSA (we didn't know diddly about it before him) and really educated us about the importance of finding great vet care to avoid this awful condition.
We have learned so much from Bud and his momma about staying strong through hard times, being optimistic and going with the flow. Thank you so much for being here to help us see that even when darkness falls in our lives, there is always HOPE.
Bud, you are HOPE defined. We love you! Hoppy Ampuversary!!!!!
