I'm a couple of days late, but this past Saturday was Domino's 2 month ampuversary! It's been such a fun ride so far! He continues to improve and has become an amazing part of the family. It's hard to imagine our family without him now. Our newest news, is that Domino went to a canine rehab specialist this past weekend. We had a blast with Dr. Kennedy and learned so much and so many new ways to help Domino and help improve his quality of life. Thanks to everyone that recommended going to a PT cause it was totally worth it. So we're now doing exercises and stretches and home and plan to purchase some FitPaws equipment in the future. Another new development is that as of last night (after some encouragement from some of y'all in the chat... you know who you are) Dom is now sleeping in the bed with me. Neither of my other two dogs are interested in sleeping in the bed and I was hesitant to let him, but he stayed put all night and we both slept great! He has also been doing really well in his obedience class and his trainer is very optimistic on his prospects of becoming a therapy dog in a few months.
All in all it's been a good journey so far and I know it's just the beginning, I can't wait to see what's next for us!

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
He looks great!!!! I am so happy this is all working out so well for you all!
Hugs!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Hoppy Ampuversary kiddo! The look on your face every time I see it is just PURE JOY! Not only did you find a home with the best pack EVER but now you get to sleep on the bed? Seriously cool Dom, I'm just in awe of how wonderful your life has turned out, lucky dawg!
Having you two here as part of the community is such a gift!
