Today marks Dakota's 2 months as a tripawd. He's doing better after the rest and Tramadol recently prescribed for a sore, swollen knee. He's begun playing with Evelyn and going to town on a couple of bones. The weather is kind of pretending it might be spring soon, and in those magic moments he goes outside and sniffs around and explores. The other day I caught him eating some unidentified substance in the weeds by the driveway. I have no idea what it was, but it stayed down. So my point is this: I think we may have arrived at our new normal, and right now I'd really be happy with boring, typical normal.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Hoppy Ampuversary Dakota! Glad you're getting back to your old self.
I agree with Isabelle, never let her know what tasty treat you have found to eat. My Mom always tries to reach in my mouth and pull it out before I can swallow, so I have to chew, chew, chew real fast, or else swallow it whole if I want to keep it!
Eat lots of goodies to celebrate. I'm gonna have a treat in your honor tonight.
