P.S. My Mom and Dad can relate to learning about being responsible for another being, since they skipped over the human kid thing too and went right to the fun part of raising a furry kid 😉

Elizabeth, he is a very handsome boy, your Sammy! So delighted that you're celebrating his first year. And a great first attempt at making a video ... and I love Alanis!
On another note .. I went through not dissimilar stresses and strains with my son when he was a newborn; he was given 3 years. (He turned 27 last week!) But I can tell you that the agonies you suffer over a beloved pet are no less poignant ... in a funny way, they're worse because you feel such responsibilities for somebody who can't talk for himself. With Josh we just fought tooth and nail because we had to .. with Rowan I do sometimes ask myself, "Am I doing the right thing?"

Lord have mercy, what are you waiting for ?! Give those adorable babies treats, please don't tell them I made them wait so long because I forgot to post it!
To all the beautiful tripawd babes, you have Sammy's head swimmin". I told him the girls thought he was handsome and the did the helicopter tail wave and hopped in circles making noises. He then told me that he is already in enough hot water with his sweetie Gayle, so better leave it at that, but big big smiles from my boy.
Sammy is a newfoundland mix, just like Cooper.
Polly, Alanis is so unique! I didn't know I would have so much in common with other side of the pond. I agree with what you said, well put.
