COWBOY UP!!!!!
Our Bud did..... On Feb 12th of last year!
Yep, that's right! As part of the February Furballs, we are celebrating a 9 month ammpuversary!
We are happy that Bud is hopping along the trail!
A shout out to all of our Tripawd partners that have also had to "cowboy up" and show they are "tough enough" in order to "make the ride"!!!!
Get along, lil' partner!
Hooray for another February Furball! Treats all around!
Hugs for Bud from me and kisses from Abby,
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
congrats bud on your ampuversary!!!! we're definitely 'on the trail' with you guys - get along little doggies!!!!
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Rollin', rollin', rollin'--from one Furball family to another, congratulations Buddy Boy! Damn! You are one handsome dude! I don't usually go for the cowboy types, but you make it look good!
I remember finding out that Rio and Dakota and Bud were 1-2-3 and being so glad that someone else was in exactly the same spot at the same time. It's one thing to hear someone say "in two weeks you will be over the hump," but another to hear someone say "oooh! I want my mommy!" We all cried for our mommies at the same time, like girlie-men, and we understood!
So congratulations to Bud, and keep hopping along, Dude! We'll keep this pawty going all month since Thanksgiving is a-comin'!
Shari and Dakota and the Embarrassment
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
In my original southern accent (an Okie gal from a previous life), here's what I have to say:
HOT DAMN!!!!
And for this cowgirl who grew up near Gene Autry, Okahoma - named after the great cowboy, Gene Autry, it's time to play a little a cowboy music!
You're the Only Star in My Blue Heaven
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Whoohoo! Way to go Bud! You are a cowboy rock star (does that even make sense?) Anyway, have a happy, hopppy, giddyup day!
Lisa, Ranger, Spirit Sadie and Athena the monkeysister
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.
