Hi Everyone!
So Chloe went to the vet a couple days ago for her yearly physical. For those of you who don't know her, she is 10 years old, had her amputation 10 months ago (cancer free now since it was a soft tissue sarcoma in her left hind hock), and is a mix of who knows what kind of dog (I say a mix between goofball and sweetheart).

Here is the message that her vet left for me a few minutes ago (I was preparing dinner for her when he called…)
"We did a full comprehensive panel; blood work, fecal tests, urinalysis and all her tests came back normal. Her kidneys, blood sugar level, thyroid level, and her white blood cell count were normal. She had no signs of anemia, she tested negative for heartworms and her fecal analysis came back negative for any type of parasites. She is definitely looking very good, definitely some very good news, very healthy, so keep up the good work and I'm glad she's doing so great!"
All I have to say is that I am grateful that even almost a year later Chloe is still going on strong! It solidifies the decision I made 10 months ago to amputate, in hopes that she would have many healthy years to come. And here we are, almost 1 healthy year down and hopefully many more to go!!!
Even though we just celebrated her 10 month ampuversary yesterday, we will be celebrating tonight with non dairy vanilla ice cream!!!!! For those of you who haven't seen her blog entry celebrating her 10 months, here is her video!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Yes Chloe! You are pawsome and cute, too! I wish these people had gotten me a goofball-sweetheart mix. Instead, they got me Evelyn. But I heard my Woman talking to my Boy this morning and heard the words "ribs" and "crockpot." Do you have any idea what kind of pawty we'll have for you tonight?
Love, Dakota
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
