“Dear all…. I am not one to do a mass mailing under normal circumstances, but feel very strongly on this issue….

Lawmakers, in their infinite “wisdom” are proposing a 9% tax on all veterinary services, including medications. Vets are expensive enough, especially for those who care enough to schedule regular shots and other “maintenance” appointments — and God forbid your pet gets sick or injured….or for those of us with muliple pets, or who do rescue and pay out of our own pockets…. Having paid for numerous surgeries, and countless x-rays and ultrasounds myself, having all special needs animals…I know how it can add up!

If you share my outrage and want to make your voice heard, please call the Governor's office:

• Call 916-445-2841
• then press “1″ for English
• then “5″ for “hot issues”
• then “1″ for the veterinary tax proposal
• then “2″ to say NO to the tax.

Your opinion will be noted — electronically — and you're done!

I just did it WHILE I was typing these instructions — took about 10 seconds. And I feel better already! And please pass along to your friends who might feel the same way.
