So today I've been kinda bummed about the recent losses here and the setbacks of a few others. Well, I was sitting out on my deck this evening and for some reason, I was looking at the clouds. The sun was setting and you could see the rays filtering through the clouds. I looked over to my right, and it was then that I saw in the clouds, a little mini cloud that was in the shape of a dog. I watched it move through the sun and dissipate into the bigger clouds behind it...
...that little dog had only 3 cloud legs
I like to think of it as a sign that our doggies will always be with us - here or when they run over that bridge 🙂
YES!! On my personal web site, I have a page dedicated to all of us who have shared this kind of relationship. I have often referred to this page and the “Sunday” strip that appears (along with a copy of “The Rainbow Bridge”) on that page. The following is extracted exactly from that page.
“The Sunday “strip” above appeared just months after my loosing each of the The Girls. I obtained two copies of the “strip”. One was kept in my in the bookcase in my study at home, while the other was on my office wall until my recent retirement. At times it brought tears to my eyes because the loss of the The Girls left a real canyon of a hole in my life. At times it warmed my spirit because it reminded me how lucky I was to have had them in my life. Above all, it reminds me that I will never really be without them, for the gifts that they have given me will live with me forever.”
Yes they are with us. I am a different person because of my two white Standard Poodles – littermates – the PoodleSisters – or just The Girls. They were the sole reason I made it through the toughest times of my life. I often say that we must remember to treat the spirit as well as the body and to provide a purpose to our companion's lives as they go down this TriPawd journey. My PoodleSisters did that for me during my darkest moments. Though they have been gone for nearly fifteen years, their presence today helps both Cherry and myself as we move along Cherry's TriPawd journey.

A heart-warming sign indeed! Jerry, Lalla, Moose, Finnegan ... and now Zeus, Horacia, and all the other Tipawd heroes ... they will always be there watching over to remind us all is good. If only they'd send those three legged clouds by a bit more often. Thanks for sharing!
