Nova,
You amaze and inspire me! YOU are a miracle dog, keep on being a beautiful girl 🙂 Congrats to her mom, and I am sorry to hear about your mom, Alzhiemers is so unfair. The only thing I can say about it (because my old puppy is going through the doggy version) is that if it is like the dog version, I don't think they remember the fear. So hugs to you, I am sorry you have such a road ahead of you, but I am glad your dad has decided to let her be in a place that understands her needs.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Sue,
My heart goes out to you, we put my mom in assisted living about a year and a half ago and it was a very difficult decision. She was out with her caregiver and fell and broke her hip, never went home again. I was opposed to it but it really was for the best and she settled in very well. I hope your mom settles in quickly, and your dad adjusts to the change as well. What a blessing you can be there for your parents.
Great news about Nova!

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
Oh wow, we were just reminiscing about the time the Queen sent Gerry Barney and beef trachea! Nova & Mom are just pawesome!
There's a memory care facility near us that allows pet visitors. I almost started taking Gerry, but they have cats on the floor full time, which is very cool, but Gerry unfortunately doesn't appear to get the difference between cats and rabbits/squirrels. There are some really high quality places these days, which is so great. Best wishes during this time of transition.
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
29 months! Wow, I am so impressed. Long live the Queen.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother. How hard all of this must be on you and your father. Please know that you are in my prayers.
