WELCOME HOME REMY! I can already tell you are going to be perhaps one of THE cutest Tripawds on the Planet!!😎😎😎
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I’m still figuring out how to use this blog… doesn’t seem to allow me to add photos but Remy is home and doing well. A bit shivery between pain meds but mostly handling things quite well and has already learned how to walk and prefers to do so without his support sling holding him up. The hard part will be getting him to take it easy !
Here is how you add photos to a post, they have to be hosted on line somewhere. You can start a free blog here and upload photos and then you can post in the forums.
My Pug Maggie never needed or wanted help. She hated anything around her body, including her harness, she wouldn't even try to hop with a sling around her.
How often are you giving the pain meds? Which ones do you have? Sometimes a simple tweak in dosing or schedule can get rid of the breakthrough pain between doses. For example you could give meds every 8 hours instead of 12 hours, and if you have two meds you can alternate them so your not giving them at the same time. Of course discuss with your vet what you are seeing and before you make any changes to prescriptions.
Sounds great so far!
