I'm happy to report that since I started Pepper's therapy about a week ago she's done very well. No side effects so far. I'll take her in to see the vet in a few weeks and have lab done. My hope, and the reason for the treatment, is to keep the tumors from returning after two surgeries on two separate tumors in about a year apart.
Naturally I worry about her but I try to think positively. She has lots of energy and a good appetite. So, for now at least, it's all good.

It is hard not to worry, but good energy and good appetite sound like great signs.
All the best,
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

That is super wonderful news. There will come a day when you worry less, for me it was a very long time out - about 14 months. Each of us get there at our own pace, just like the dogs all recover at their own pace.
