Thanks for all your wonderful encouragement! What would I do without all of you???!!!! I appreciated every single one of you! I wish that one day we could all meet and give each other big fat hugs… in person!!! But most of us are all so far away… so I will settle for virtual hugs and kind thoughts…
Jake seemed a bit better when I came home tonite. He still doesn't want to hop around too much… just to go outside to pee and poop, and to eat. Tonite was his 2nd dose of meloxicam. The temperatures are warming up today in Florida… so by the weekend, we should be swimming in the pool again! Good, because I don't know how much time he has left… and I want him to enjoy his life as much as possible!!! Me on the other hand… I seem to be coming down with the flu or something… Great!

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

So relieved Jake is ok–we were pretty sure he would be, but we also empathized w/your worries. Like Titan's mom, we've tried to massage Romeo's legs–his back legs in particular. It seems to help a lot. We also bought Bella's heating pad. We haven't used it that much, but found it helpful when we did. There is a tripawds discount. I can't remember were I found it on this site. Maybe under a recommended products list? Wyatt's folks will know. We have found that if Romeo has a big day, he can be tired the next. One month is still early, it's true. So hard to remember that with all we go through (pups and pawrents) the first month. Hope you feel better soon too. I think I just collapsed around six weeks post amp. I caught a little virus and that's all it took to push me over the edge. Romeo made it through, he was getting his strength back—it was almost like it was finally safe to take a break. Take a deep breath and try to get some sleep. You deserve it! And Jake, we're so glad you're feeling better. Love, Eve and Romeo

Marguerite,
I hope you feel better and are not getting the dreaded flu!

Since I work at a cancer center, and don't want to spread anything too serious around, I went and had myself tested for H1N1 this morning... Negative! So, I just have the regular flu... and will just try to stay away from everyone for the next few days. I still have to go into work tomorrow morning, but after that, it's home in bed with soup and lots of fluids... Well... probably on the floor cuddling with Jake and Wolfie (since Jake can't jump up on our bed anymore).

Glad it is not H1N1 but the regular flu is bad enough. Enjoy your cuddle time with Jake and Wolfie. Feel better.
