Sadie is a Tripawd Olympian Champion on her homemade balance beam! Ot really is amazing to watch her effortlessly hop along on that with excellent balance.
Thanks so much for posting this. It's quite uplifting to see how well Sadie is doing👍

She used walk the same log with four legs. We were walking off leash and she went after some squirrels and hopped onto a smaller log and ran on it after the squirrel. I was impressed, so when we got back to the bigger fallen tree, I told her to hop up and she was able to do it just as before with four legs! It was at the end of the walk so she was tired from the walk, but not the log.
Listening to your advise and working on strength and balance training really helped. Also, not over doing it and shorter more frequent walks, as you said, are better. Now her endurance is improving and her front paw is a lot stronger. She loves the balance board and thanks for the great write up! I hope it helps other tripawds.
She has her fourth Chemo tomorrow.
Aww she knew right where to go to prove herself! That's so cool, I can only imagine how happy that made both of you. That's a pretty big milestone, congrats 🙂
It's wonderful to see you being so conscientious about her activity levels. GREAT JOB!!! I'm glad you found our tips helpful We have learned so much from talking to rehab therapists over the years, and it's our goal to make sure every Tripawd out there has a chance to be as agile and fit and pain-free as Sadie! She is quite the role model, and you are too.
Good luck with chemo, let us know how it goes!!

Love the backstory to Sadie's love for "log walking"😎
She is quite the role model, and you are too.
Yep...ditto.👍

Sadie had her fourth chemo and chest X-ray on Monday.
It was mostly good but they saw new mineralized module and they are not sure if it is cancer spread and will have to repeat X-rays next time.
Also she had elevated kidney value in her blood work and they ar not sure about that either. They need a Urine sample next time. Since she was already sedated for the X-ray they could not get a good sample.
She is not eating much, as usual after her Chemo. Hopefully she should be back to normal by the end of the week.
Hey Tony,
Ok mostly good is way better than not good! The spot on the x-rays could be anything and hopefully NOTHING (very common!), we are keeping our paws crossed. And I'll bet she was pretty glad she didn't have to pee in a container while she was all wonky! Maybe by her next visit her value will be back to normal, it happens.
Hope she feels good enough to eat and go for a little walk today. Keep us posted!

Yep. agree.! That spot could be anything. We often see these "things" be nothing. AND Sadie the log walking do clearly feels great!!!
Bummer she's not eating but, as you said, to be expected amd she'll pick her appetite up shortly. She does have Cerenia, right ?
My Happy Hannah only had four rounds of Carboplatin. That was actual the plan the Onco formulatedfor her. So if Sadie needs to stop at four of the kidneys become an issue, or if the eating problems are too rough on her, that's certainly an acceptable protocol.
Hugs.
