So, with this huge wind storm on our heels, (thank goodness we were all inside by the time branches started blowing off the tree!!) Pat and I took Ruthie and Magic to meet at the park! Pat is going to post Ruthie's story here because it is a good one...she is much farther out than I thought and truly a lovely inspiration. What a sweet dog...Magic of course had to try humping her just to show he was boss and Ruthie responded by licking and slobering all over him....she is the ONLY dog I have ever met that licks MORE than Magic...I didn't think that was possible!! Pat is delightful as well and be sure and read her story when posted - remember she underwent the temador before Magic did and had xrays yesterday. Magic is now scheduled for xrays for next thurs. So let's see if I remember how to post pictures and remember I am a horrible photographer.....

Cool beans! You two had your own little Tripawd party! 🙂 Good for you two! Will be looking for Ruthie's post 🙂
Tracy, Maggie's Mom
Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09
Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
They are most definitely black & white! I am so glad the two of you were able to finally arrange a meeting. Sometimes I think it would be so much easier to have someone close to share all the challenges with.
Are you allowed to tell us about Ruthie's x-rays?
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Those are wonderful! Gosh Ruthie is a pretty girl! I thought she was a smaller dog but she's big.
You did the pics, right. You can post all in one topic without starting a new one. The pics are larger than the forum likes so it reduces them automatically (hence, the mouse icon over the pic to enlarge the pic).
Hit the back button after you have looked at the pic. If you get "page expired" - hit refresh on your computer.
Wonderful you two got together!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Oh thanks for the info...I thought I could probably do them in one page but wasn't positive...just in case she doesn't get on tonight...the xrays were GOOD and she will be starting another regime...my brain dumped everything after good result so you will have to get the details from her post...but I will say (in case she doesn't get on tonight) Ruthie is MUCH farther out than I thought and that is why I want Pat to post here so that all the new people see it...it is a diff. cancer from Magic's but she is going good....and I forgot Magic's Tripawd scarf to take a pic with...but I WILL!!!
OMG! Ruthie and Magic are beautiful!!! They looked so happy playing together... Cancer? What the heck is that?! So, do you think that Magic is in love?
Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Oh such great pictures - Ruthie and Magic look sooo happy together!! (That's a song, right?) I had a very special flat coated retriever like Ruthie and lost her to lymphoma about 8 years ago (I've talked to Ruthie and Pat about her) and just feel a real bond because she reminds me so much of my Keoki (female.) I'm so glad you two were able to get together. Ok...who's the mom in the picture...Pat or Diane? It makes me want to have my own tripawd pawty here in LA and I hope that one day we'll be able to do the same with the LA tripawds. How awesome that you both were able to meet and join forces if you will....and Diane, we really need to see that tripawd scarf on Magic! 6 legged puppies....hummm.....very interesting.....(I would still love every one of them!)
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
what a beautiful day for you all!!! six legged babies??? really??? really... so nice to see such joy on these faces!!!!!
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
