I am new here so thought I would introduce my wonderful lurcher boy Nicky. He is a saluki x and has had his right front leg amputated due to a car accident before I got him. He has been with me just over a year. I originally fostered him but he worked his charms and very quickly it became an adoption. He has changed my life. I know far more people now thanks to him. He loves life and loves people. He has also saved a labrador who was depressed from being put down,helped a young girl who was scared of dogs get over it and also helped our second lurcher learn how to play and be a dog,he was very scared and so showing fear aggression. Nicky has made him realise not all dogs are bad and now they play together and lay together. I am also disabled and Nicky has taught me not to feel sorry for myself and to try to live my life to the full as he does. He has recently been helping me come to terms with the loss of a dog I bred and have stayed close to in his other home. Nicky has even let me cry on his one shoulder. He is the greatest dog and friend.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Yes we are in the Uk. I love Nicky dearly and every day he makes me smile. He is currently being a big brother to a lurcher puppy we are fostering. I will get my son to put a photo on,I assume we can do it through photobucket? Nicky was featured in Dogs Today in October when they did a feature on tripod dogs. He got the Good Boy award. Looking to the future I will happily home another tripod. Nicky is great with my son,in fact he is officially named as a physio accessory for my son who also has disability. We both have Hypermobility Syndrome. He also has fitted in with our cats and even washes the rabbits ears!! He has never been a problem,from day 1 he has been perfect. I love to see him run,he can really motor. He loves the beach and the sea is his element. He exercises by my disability scooter and many people stop to admire him. I am so lucky to have him in my life,a true soul mate.
I want to get him a harness for exercise,can I get a Convert through this site?

Oh yes, you can definitely use photobucket for images. Here is a Forum post about Adding Images.
Wow Nicky, you are famous! It's an honor to "meet" you here! Is this the issue?
As for the harness options, have you checked out our Gear Blog ? "Which Harness is Right for my Dog?" can help you decide. I think when you mean the Convert harness you're talking about the EzyDog one? You can buy it through those links.

Welcome! What a special person you are and what a special dog Nicky is.
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
That was the issue,Nicky got the Good Boy Award in the issue. I was so proud. He got a lovely goody hamper. Good news I can get the ezydog harness. Enjoyed a chat on the blog yesterday,what a great bunch you are. Will get my son to put the photos up later.

Sorry we missed you in the chat but we hope to see you there again soon. Stop by and hang out, you never know who might show up. The time difference is a little weird but we usually have people in there throughout the day and into the late night here in the states.
Glad you can get the harness, if you'd like to review it for Tripawds and let us know what you think, we would love that! We haven't tried it ourselves so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
