Welcome to the club, Tango and family. I don't have anything to offer that hasn't already been said.

We had no sleep deprivation, but our toughest part was probably on day 4 or so when all the surgery meds had worked their way through Dakota's system and he took a big psychological crash. That was the closest I came to wondering if I'd made a mistake. If Tango does that, it's pretty typical. So much for them to work out that we can't imagine: new ways to balance, pain meds making them loopy, etc. Tango will give you a new perspective on life, though. That's pretty much a given.

Shari

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/

Hi Tango!  You are a handsome one.  I don't think there are mutts anymore.  They're "designer" dogs.  You can make up you own breed name smiley

Hello Tango family, I just joined today too! My dog this week was supposed to get an amputation but they believe he would not recover from it so now we're just trying out a brace.. I see a lot of happy three legged dogs out there and I wish you both luck smiley
