Hi there,

So happy that I found your site!!!  I have 18 years experience of successfully raising and training Border Collies and at this moment I am in the process of adopting my first Tripawd pup.  This sweet girl is a 4 months old BC cross and came from a local reserve with a severe broken hind leg that resulted in a full amputation.  It amazes me just how trusting and resilient dogs can be even when it is obvious they have been abused.  I think she is going to be an awesome addition to my family and a great friend for my four year old female BC, Charlee laugh

Roxy…Border Collie cross born on approximately October 27th, 2011;

Rescued in January 2012 by Oops a Dazy Rescue & Sanctuary;

Right hind leg amputated on January 20th, 2012 due to a severe spiral fracture;

Adopted on February 21st, 2012 by Teena, a devoted human & Charlee, a purebred BC.

Hugs, tail wags & sloppy kisses

Congratulations on the adoption process.  It is so sad what some pups go through and so amazing how their resilience snaps back and they continue to love and trust people.  Boomer and I can’t wait to see the pictures.

Welcome! We're glad you found us, thank you for saying hello and telling us about your new pup. You're PAWESOME for adopting her!

Border Collies are so smart (my pawrents think I was part border collie...ahem!). We're betting she'll be running circles around your pack in no time. When is her big arrival day?

You're so right about dogs being so resilient. Our Tripawds Spokespup Wyatt Ray started out his life under bad circumstances at the hands of bad people, but he doesn't hold that against humans, he just wants to live life and herd the day away!

Can't wait to hear more about the adventures of your pack, thanks again for joining.

Congrats on the new addition to your pack and welcome to the tripawd-lovers gang. Yes, dogs are so amazingly resilient. It's an awesome thing to be a tripawd pawrent.

Looking forward to hearing more about your girl and hope to see some pictures!

Welcome to the gang,

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
