I just created a new blog page with videos of Jake's life with us, before his cancer diagnosis. It's at http://jakesjou.....re-cancer/

Just my way of keeping his memory alive... I miss him so much!!! Cry

Angel Jake's Mom

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

I love the videos.  I responded on your blog but I wanted to let you know here how much I enjoyed seeing your puppies.  Jake was so lucky to have you and you were so blessed to have him and Wolfie in your life.  I found this thought recently and want to share it with you and all of us that have lost our furbabies.

'It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.'

~Author Unknown

I hope that this gives some comfort.  I don't know why but it is comforting me.

Debra

Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.

Great videos! Simply precious, you can never have enough. We only have a few four legged movies in Jerry's pre-op video playlist (at bottom of page).

My husband and I cried and laughed while watching these videos last nite...Cry Smile and I just wanted to share them with you all...

While going through our old Christmas decorations this morning, my husband found the red and white jingle bell collars that Jake and Wolf were wearing last Christmas... and he put both of them on Wolfie. I'm calling Wolfie my little 'dingaling' now... and he's making me laugh as he's jingling all over the house while he plays... Do german shepherds ever grown up? I hope not! Big Blink He seems to be doing a bit better the last 2 days...

I love the quote Debra... It's beautiful and so true! I think I'll use it and put it somewhere on Jake's blog...
