Jordan is 5 days post amputation and I think she is amazing. She just turned 10. Yesterday she was able to go potty all by herself. She also walked up a large hill in our yard all on her own. We are trying to keep her relaxed and healing but she seems to want to do some of her normal stuff. She is eating well. She brought me a tennis ball and met me at the door when I came home tonight. Still waiting on the biopsy, but she seems to be in good spirits and finding her way.

Awwwww!  Smiles!  Jordan is a rock star!  I understand you're desire to keep her quiet, but she's clearly feeling well enough to bust out the tennis ball and do a little yard cruising.  That's just darn precious!  And, a very HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY!!!  What a gal.  Keep it up!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Yay Jordan.  Way to go.  Just don't let her over do as that can slow do recovery but I understand letting her do some things and be a dog.

Happy Birthday Jordan.  I'm so glad that you are up and about and enjoying your new lease on life.  Sounds like you are not going to let missing a leg slow you down one bit.  Isn't it amazing how they learn to adjust so quickly.  Jordan might crash a bit, like my Cadence did, but its all part of the process.  Usually after the two week mark, and the stitches or staples are out, things go back to normal.  Wishing you and Jordan all the best.
