Murphy and I took the hour and a half drive out to Lansing this morning for his check up at Michigan State University. Once again his x-rays are clear! No metastasis in his lungs and the mass on his left shoulder still remains unchanged (for 20 months now)! He has now survived Histiocytic sarcoma for 26 1/2 months! Every time I make the drive out there with him I worry that this will be the time they tell me that it's spread, that we should start talking about pain management and how we want to handle things. And every time I am amazed and relieved to know that we still have more time with our sweet boy. I'm so glad you're all here to share our good news with!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
