Hi I'm Maggie. In December I started limping and my person took me to a vet who took an xray which showed a fuzzy spot. We were scheduled for a biopsy but my person found out my daddy had died of osteosarcoma a few months previous. My person and the vet felt very strongly I also had osteosarcoma so off with my right front leg. Last week was my 3 month ampuversary and I seem to be able to do everything I did before. I can dig holes, jump in the jeep, catch mice and fight with my sissy. In my yard I have this big oak tree that has many, many squirrels. There's a hole in the tree and I want to find a way to get up there. Ladder anyone? So that's my story and I'm stickin to it.
Well I tried to add a picture and even with Jim's instruction I can't figure it out. But the picture is in my new post.
Hi Maggie! Sounds like you are one adaptable pup. It is so heartwarming to see a tripawd is just like all other dogs, they just don't have a spare leg. May you find nothing but happiness on your journey.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
My money is on you Maggie...you get those darn squirrels. What a beauty Maggie is. Her coat is such a magnificent color. Im glad that Maggie is adjusting so well to her new life on three legs. You will continue to be in awe of Maggie as she shows you that life does go on with three legs. Happy Ampuversary Maggie........big hug and kiss

That photo is absolutely stunning....the colors of nature look as though Maggie was the pallet from which selected the hues. Talk about being one with mature.
Thank OK for sharing such a beautiful portrait of serenity.
