YEY! 5 months and we're still hoppin', fetchin', talkin', and waggin' up a storm! He's FABULOUS! Oh, and we got the call from his regular vet that the dewormer worked - no more roundworms. Novartis paid for the whole thing, too. Good poops make us happy around here, huh? To celebrate good poos and 5 MONTHS OF HOPPING AROUND, he had a tasty dinner, topped with some BBQ'd chicken and steak tips. Mmmmmm. Take THAT cancer.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Yay Jackson. Keep going boy. Hard to believe its been 5 months already. Time flies when we are kicking the Ugly "C" butt. I am glad your mommy gave you some wonderful treats. Now tell her to let you go chase squirrels gophers etc.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Oh you sweet, silly, hoppy boy, this is really wonderful to hear, congratulations!
We need the love today, so your ampuversary and great poopy news was just what the doctor ordered. Pawty on Jackson, you rock

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Oh yeah, he does, indeed, love the camera!! He really is posing.....giving the camera his different looks......smile showing the teeth....cocking his head giving the camera his serious side......what a photogenic guguy:-) Doesn't it make your heart just fill up with pride every time you see a photo of Jackson?? It's like this site makes him a ROCK STAR....and be is!!

Awwww. Thanks, all. His silly face and expressions always make me laugh. Although after yesterday's sad news, I went over to him and cried in his face, then he licked my tears. This community is the most bipolar experience I've ever had. FANTASTIC news followed by heartbreak. So long as we all can find our happy place, that's what matters. For me, Jackson is part of my happy place. If he brought smiles to your face, too, then that makes me even more happy.
