Inspiration. Hartley 13&6 Month Beagle. 7 days post amputation.  In great shape it’s a miracle.  For cancer of membrane discovered during TPLO surgery. 3 general anaesthetics in 5 weeks x2 major operations.  Your site gave me the courage to save his life. Thank you. Meds meloxicam + childrens liquid paracetamol + antibiotics!!!! Brisbane Australia.

Hi Sharon and Hartley, welcome! You are so kind thank you for the nice note. I'm glad Hartley is doing well, he has been through a lot!

Keep an eye on his pain signals to make sure he is not hiding any pain he is in ok? I am not a vet but most dogs also get gabapentin to control nerve pain. He may not be getting enough pain control with just those meds. Dogs are good at hiding pain, especially senior dogs.

How is his appetite and mobility?
