Tucker just passed the two month mark post amputation on his right rear leg from OSA. He is hopping around like a champ & has tolerated 4 rounds of chemo very well. We have been amazed with how well he has done & how good he feels. For months prior to diagnosis, he was very anxious. He had never had a fear of loud noises, but this spring his anxiety with thunder was severe & the 4th of July was spent away from our house (the city puts in fireworks at the end of our street). We had been telling the vet that it seemed like he was getting "zingers" in his back right leg, but despite testing, we couldn't find a cause (now we know). He is finally back to his fun, laid back Tucker self. While we fear what may be in our future, we are enjoying having our Tucker back. I will try to post a video of our 3 year old walking him (aka running as Tuck hops/gallops).

Congratulations on your two month ampuversary, Tucker.  Sounds like you are one happy boy to be pain free.  Great to hear you've done so well on chemo.  We''d love to see you out on your walk.

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011

Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011.  Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs.  If love alone could have saved you…

Very cool news! clap

Tucker is a rock star, thanks for letting us know everything is A-OK. Didn't it seem like his recovery would never end? I tell ya, it's hard to believe that a dog can come so far so soon after surgery, but as you can see, it can happen.

And yes, we would love to see a video. Post anytime!

Happy hoppy 2 months (+ 5 days) ampuversary, Tuker!

Sounds like he's doing great. Always love to hear when pawrents see their ol' pup's personality come back. :)

Hope he continues to do well!
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle.
