Trey gets to add letters to the back of his name now 🙂
He is now officially Wildest Dream Trés Spécial, CGC
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I think a dog is no different. Firstly, Mary Burch at the AKC allowed Trey to take his CGC test in his wheels. Because Murphy's Law always seems to hold true, Trey outgrew his wheels 3 weeks before he was scheduled to test. The folks at My Pet's Brace got him in quickly to be re-measured and consulted with Eddie's Wheels over the phone while we waited. His wheels were sent back to MA the next day and Eddie's was able to retro-fit them with larger wheels and several new, bigger pieces. Trey was 5" taller than when he received his wheels in October last year, but they were able to make things work and charged me less than half the cost of a new front wheelchair
.  They then rush shipped the new and improved wheels back to My Pet's Brace, who got us in the next day for a fitting. This gave us three days to practice with the new wheel chair
before he tested. Thankfully, it's not shorts weather yet, because I have many lovely purple and blue bruises from Trey misjudging his larger wheel size. He passed with flying colors and got invited back for their therapy dog testing in June. I'm so proud of my little guy, and I think he's started realizing he's pretty cool too.
Excuse the poor quality cell phone picture...

That is so cool, and wonderful that you have been able to provide him so much mobility with his wheels!

Awesome!
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
