As you know, Barney was rushed to Virginia to help celebrate Happy Hannah's week long ONE YEAR ampuversary and moving forward (knock on wood) and ghen to travelnto Ho duras for further adventure and celebration! Thank you Sweet Brendol and Tripod for making this all happen so quickly!
So, while I wasn't looking, Barney had a little to much "milestone cheer" to toast to Happy Hannah today! Happy Hannah is all cozy next to her woodstove at home being lovingy cared for by her "dog sitter" friend and getting way too many treats I'm sure! She's gonna tru and email a pic of her celebrating with yet another steak...cut up this time!
Okay, here's that "wild and crazy...and soooooo stinky...Barney!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. OFFICIALLY ONE YEAR!!!! HAPPY happy happy dance!!!! WOW...... what a year you have had! Both of you! And hello Barney ... you are going to have one hell of a hangover for sure!
Shelby and I are OVER the moon happy for you and will celebrate tonight ... steak for Shelbs and wine (and chocolate) for mommy!!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Hoppy, hoppy ampuversary, Hannah, my love. You really shouldn't have let your Mom take Barney to Honduras, though. It looks like she isn't a very good influence on him! Between the cake and the beers, you are going to have a very hard time cleaning him up when (if) she gets him back home. But, oh, the wonderful smells he will return with!!!
Here's to many, many more hoppy ampuversaries.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
I'm grinning from ear to ear over here.....little Miss Happy Hannah's first year ampuversary and an inebriated Barney in the Honduras with Sally....who would have thought this was all possible a year ago!!!
Many hugs and kisses to both of you and treats for all of us.....bipedal devouring of treats encouraged as well!

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

ONE YEAR for HAPPY HANNAH?! I can't believe it. Well, I can. But, wow, a year? Already? I remember "meeting" you about a year ago and look at ya now. Abso-freaking-lutely amazing! I' beaming for all of you. It's just wonderful. WONDERFUL!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
