Today is Sassy's 30 day anniversary of her amputation. Doing great. She is holding her own on her balance. Has a few days where she might lose it once in awhile but over all a great day & great month.

Happy ampuversary!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Well we had our 1st snow fall the other day. Had Sassy out last night to go potty and she just wanted to play. Jumped and barked at Bosch. I was glad she was feeling good to do that, but didn't want her to slip but I had to let her try. She did really well. 
Been pretty quiet on the recovery front. January 2nd is the 2nd chemo appointment. We will see how she is doing

Day 51 and 2nd day after 2nd Chemo treatment.
Good day as far as recovery goes. Chemo a little nauseous today. Actually got sick. I wasn't home had gone out to dinner and came back and she had gotten a hamburger from my mom & ate it really fast like she was starving. Of course she didn't want to eat breakfast today I figured she just was not interested because that is what she did the 1st chemo. I should have given her a Cerenia for naseau but didn't think about it. So she didn't want to eat anything else. Did finally get her to eat some boiled hamburger & rice after giving a Cerenia.
Learning experience. She is acting good otherwise.
