Hello, I am Coonie and I live with a couple of animal lovers and two other pooches. They seem to enjoy we three dogs more than people.
I am the youngest (5yrs.) and have just found out that I have cancer on my upper right leg near the shoulder and am going in for a leg amputation the day after tomorrow. I seem healthy but my leg is starting to hurt, I am a tuffy. Coonie was deserted by his previous owner right during a very cold winter. We had heard about him in the village near by and that they were going to put him down. Later that night we saw the temp dive to -40 with a wind chill of -50. My husband went to check on him with food & water, Coonie was in sad shape. My husbands heart wouldn't leave him behind. We now have three dog that we love immensely. Coonie has been with us for four Years now and I'm praying for a lot more quality time left.
